Nicole & Jim // Brooklyn, NY Engagement

May 16, 2017

Every time I have a shoot that is out of state that i’m really excited about, I never want to look at the weather. It can change so often that i’d rather not stress unless it’s absolutely necessary! When I arrived in NYC, it was pretty much a monsoon outside. I was on my way to Nicole and Jim’s apartment in Brooklyn and looked out my taxi window at the people running from the torrential downpour, I even saw a guy lose his battle with an umbrella that the wind kept blowing inside out. To say I was a little nervous would be an understatement, and not to mention the built up excitement had turned to anger from the current weather situation. Nicole and Jim welcomed me into their home, made me some coffee and we decided to take some photos in their apartment first, and pray that the rain would eventually die down.  I pretty much had the whole day free, so we decided to get lunch and hang out, then a miracle happened…it stopped raining!!! I was so grateful and it was nice to get to know these two, so it ended up being a win/win. I have to say these are some of my favorites and i’m thankful that I get to do what I do, to meet who I meet, and to travel to places that inspire me! Thank you two for making me feel so welcomed and I can’t wait to be a part of your big day in the fall. xoxoxo

Watching the weather and finding out the rain was going to stop!
